Tastes Great—BAD packaging!

The Dan Dan sauce is very good—the best packaged Dan Dan sauce I’ve tried—the sesame paste/tasts is there, the Szechuan peppercorn’s numbness peeks through, and the heat level is perfect—great product! BUT—packaging sucks! Both of my jars were leaking through the tight plastic seals upon arrival (to the point where there were oil stains on the outside of the shipping box) And mixing was not possible without splashing oil all over the sides—Dan Dan is made with sesame paste, which forms a ball in the jar of sauce as it sits over time, and it needs to be thoroughly mixed together (which can take effort) with the separated oil. While you can do this with Superlova’s smaller jars—you’re gunna spill and make an oily mess—put paper towels down under it!

Tastes Great—BAD packaging!
